Hi safe investors, Today, December 8th, we have decided to increase our investments in corporate bonds. The increasing spread of these bonds from government based bonds reminds us of late 2008, and we consider this as an opportunity. We are witnessing these days the decline of Europe…. Greece is close to a default as well as Italy, the friends from the US cannot longer help as QE2 is ending soon, and everywhere there seems to be chaos and despair… So what should the smart and safe investor do – run away? If so [...] We all know best when to buy, what to buy and of course when to sell…. Well, actually we don’t … we do however let our nature and feelings dictate how we’ll behave in the market place. As many behavioral studies indicated, we usually do not make optimal decision when dealing with money. Hi all, with the recent market shakedowns we are still keeping our strategy towards safe investing for 2011 which in April as well as May will be to continue buy high yield bonds, small cap indexes such as Russell 2000 and real estate and financial indexes such as XLF and IYR. However, today we have [...] We just got a call from a worried friend who is looking in the news screens, watching the decline of the Arab countries governments, some after 30 years. This friend is seriously thinking about selling his portfolio and wait till this turmoil will be ended. However, we thought otherwise …. Well – after some waiting on the fence and also stocking up with aggressive short index funds, we are pulling back as the downturn did not came as hard as we have expected several weeks ago… |
